Your recent RfA
I'm sorry, but I've closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, you've only got 235 edits on Wikipedia; while edit count isn't the only determining factor, and numerous people have their own personal standards that they judge RfA candidates by, there was no chance that the RfA was going to pass.
I'm sorry about this, and hope you don't take it personally. If you continue to contribute to the project in a positive fashion, I'm confident that you could possibly run a successful RfA in the future. You may want to consider submitting yourself to Wikipedia:Editor review for feedback on where to get some good experience, and when you're ready for RfA again, there's a great Wikipedia:Admin coaching program for you to use, as well as a guide to requests for adminship.
If you have any other questions about becoming an administrator, please don't hesitate to ask me. Good luck! EVula // talk // ☯ // 16:57, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

- Don't worry about it. I was certain that I would probably not even get close to being recommended - but it was worth a shot. Maybe I'll try back next year. - Crassic 17:02, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
- By all means, please do; we can always use more good editors as admins, and the only concern about your RfA was your inexperience. If you keep working the project, showing a working knowledge of the ins and outs of Wikpedia (and a grasp of its many policies and guidelines), I have no doubt that you could successfully pass an RfA in several months' time. I look forward to seeing Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Crassic 2 at some point next year. :) EVula // talk // ☯ // 17:08, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

RFA
You're welcome. I always try to encourage those who wish to take on the challenge (or pain depending!) of adminship. I look forward to supporting you in the future. Very best. Pedro | Chat 07:23, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Alice Timander
Hi there! First of all: thank you for your concern. I think you did the right thing when you nominated it for AfD. But, when your concerns had been - at least somewhat - addressed, I took the opportunity to close the debate, and as you might have noticed, the article was DYK featured on the front page a couple of days later. PS When you nominate articles for AfD, it's always helpful to tag the articles accordingly, or most people wouldn't be aware that an AfD is pending (I added the tag to the article as soon as I was aware). --Camptown 22:12, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- Way to spread your contributions, Crassic; nice job! But don't worry, the next phase of your curriculum will teach you all you need to know about AfDs, and even more. I love what you're doing, keep it up! Cheers, Arky ¡Hablar! 23:04, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Image:Crassic 1.jpg Deletion
Hey, Crassic. Since you uploaded the image, just put db-author at the top of the image's page to request it to be deleted. Cheers, Arky ¡Hablar! 20:24, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. That got rid of it pretty quick. Also, thanks for moving my TOC. I wasn't sure how to do that either. :) Crassic(talk) 21:27, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
Richard Ramsey Reingate
Totally agree it should be deleted; just a stupid typo. Have db-author'd it. --Tagishsimon (talk) 14:08, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
AWB
Hey, Crassic. I see you've put in a registration for AWB. I think it is great that you want to use this tool to more easily improve the encyclopeda. However, there is, unfortunately, a slim chance of you being approved, as only users with over 500 mainspace, or article edits are approved. Happy editing, ARkY // ¡HaBLaR! 03:14, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, I saw that I currently have 604 total edits - I didn't pay attention to the number of mainspace edits. Arggg. Crassic(talk) 12:42, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ah-hah. Now after checking it out, I've only got 407 mainspace edits. I'll eventually shoot for it again. Crassic(talk) 15:48, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- Don't worry, you'll get it quite soon :) It's a really great tool, and, once you get it, I can help you if you want to learn a bit of how it works. Cheers, ARkY // ¡HaBLaR! 18:32, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- Crassic, holy cow! I bet you'll never believe this! ARkY // ¡HaBLaR! 22:20, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- Haha. :) I put my name in when I had ~515 mainspace edits. I figured it was worth another shot. :) tosh²(talk) 22:21, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- Expect an automated approval notice within the next fifteen minutes Also, if you need any help with the program (it has quite a few buttons...) you can just ask me, and I'll be glad to help. Cheers, ARkY // ¡HaBLaR! 22:26, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- Alright. I'm about to get offline, so I'll install it later tonight or tomorrow afternoon sometime. After that, you can expect a bunch of questions. ;) tosh²(talk) 22:28, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, so for some reason, I'm still awake even though I have to get up early tomorrow morning. I installed AWB. Now, if you don't mind, care explaining how to work this? :( tosh²(talk) 05:31, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

AWB 101
Okay, Crassic. Here's a crash course in AutoWikiBrowser
System requirements
- Looking at all the userboxes on your userpage, you need Internet Explorer to get it to work. If it works, and you don't have IE, don't worry; I'm probably thinking of a different version of the program :)
Getting started
(This is what I do when I use AWB. You can use different settings if you like.)
- First use only: Click "General", and then click "Edit summaries". Copy the text below into the box:
clean up re-categorisation per CFD clean up and re-categorisation per CFD removing category per CFD subst:'ing stub sorting Typo fixing bad link repair Fixing links to disambiguation pages Unicodifying Put category or categories in proper order Put stub notice(s) in proper order Put stub tags and categories in proper order Put template(s) in proper order Grammar fixed Headers fixed per WP:NC Capitalization fixed added for similar categories Image underscores removed Link(s) simplified Link underscores removed
- After this is finished, click "OK"
- Click File, and then click Log in
- Log in to Wikipedia from the webpage that is displayed in the program
- In the area near the bottom of the page that says "(1) Make list" set the control boxes so that Make from is "Category" and Category is "Cleanup from June 2008". For a bigger list, you might want to set this box to "Cleanup from May 2008"
- In the "Set options" tab directly to the right of the "Make list" area, check the boxes that say Apply general fixes, Auto tag, Unicodify whole article, Enable RegExTypoFix, Slip if blocked by Spam filter, Skip if Inuse, Skip when no change made, and Skip non-existing pages.
- Click the tab that says "Start"
- Check the box that says "Minor edit"
- Click "Start the process"
Editing with AWB
- After clicking "Start the Process", the above pane will begin to change. As the program investigates the edits to be made to certain pages, it flits from article to article.
- When a page fully loads, it will show you the "diff" of the edit it's suggesting. If you do not like the edit, click ignore. If it is a helpful change, select a fitting edit summary from the list, or provide your own, and then click the green save button. If you like some changes to an article, but don't like others, double click the line that the unwanted changes are on. This will cancel out this part of the edit.
When you are finished...
- Click "File", and then click "Save settings"!!
- Exit the program
- Hopefully that helps a little, and feel free to ask me any more questions you may have. Cheers, ARkY // ¡HaBLaR! 20:55, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- One minor problem ... the "Start the process" button isn't clickable. Any idea on what's wrong? tosh²(talk) 21:33, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- If this helps any... tosh²(talk) 21:40, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Michael Appleton
Hi, the correction in Michael Appleton of safty -> safety is incorrect. In this case, Safty is part of a real person's name, as the sources for that article will verify. I have thus reverted the edit. Thanks. --Jameboy 21:06, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, I apologize for that. I guess AWB didn't pay attention to that, as I know that I didn't. Sorry. tosh²(talk) 21:07, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
- No worries. It has happened before with a bot edit. --Jameboy 21:50, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
AWB quick tip :)
Hey, Crassic. Nice work with AWB! Just a quick suggestion, though. When you make an edit, consider selecting an appropriate edit summary from the edit summary drop down box, instead of choosing "clean up" all the time. Nothing too big though, and again, nice work! ( arky ) 01:56, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
- Will do. I've thought about that before, but I figured it might just take a bit of time. I'll attempt to do that more often. tosh²(talk) 03:10, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
- Also, AWB shouldn't be used for minor edits such as removing blank lines. - Dudesleeper · Talk 14:07, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Deja Voodoo CD.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Deja Voodoo CD.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:31, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia has a new administrator!
OhanaUnited's RfA
Thanks for voting at my RfA. Unfortunately, the result stands at 51 support, 21 oppose and 7 neutral which means that I did not succeed. As many expressed their appreciation of my works in featured portals during my RfA, I will fill up the vacuum position of director in featured portal candidates to maintain the standards of featured contents in addition to my active role in Good articles. Have a great day. OhanaUnitedTalk page 04:04, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:High-and-Mighty-CD.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:High-and-Mighty-CD.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 20:48, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Danny Welbeck
An editor has nominated Danny Welbeck, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Danny Welbeck and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 02:14, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
RE:Unhelpful edit
I undid an edit which was clearly vandalism, I fail to see how that is unhelpful --General Jazza (talk) 10:39, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- Kevin Steele still serves as defensive coordinator of the Crimson Tide, and you reverted to him working for Arkansas under Bobby Petrino; therefore, your edit was technically a bad revert.crassic(talk) 12:36, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- I reverted it because of the "I EDITED THIS PAGE..." the user added to line 24. If someone is dense enough to put that on I think it's fair to assume the rest of the edit is nonsense. --General Jazza (talk) 02:53, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- Well, then I apologize for that. But I generally check all recent IP edits as well to make sure. :) Once again, I apologize. crassic\talk 03:38, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- Really no need to apologize my friend, I just want to make sure I don't end up with a bad rep around here ;) --General Jazza (talk) 22:04, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Danny Welbeck
Another editor has added the prod
template to the article Danny Welbeck, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the prod
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 16:01, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
-
- I think that within the context of the article, the sourcing and his current inclusion within the first team squad it would be right to remove the prod - is the encyclopaedia going to be improved by deleting that (well written) article? I doubt it - prod removed. Regards --Fredrick day (talk) 10:00, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
