[edit] Help Is Here

How may I help you? (Arundhati Bakshi (talkcontribs)) 18:01, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for coming to my (un-important) aid. Please go to the Oh my goddess page. Scroll to the bottom, and you will see the fancy characters box. Basically I want to replicate this but of a similar style for several different pages (Tenchi Muyo). I have read some help pages but they are frankly not helpful. Crampy20 18:13, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

No request for aid is unimportant. I am not sure I understand what you mean by "fancy characters box" -- do you mean the "insert" box that allows you to insert hard to type characters when you are editing an article? The bottom of the Oh my goddess page does have a disambig template added to it to let you know that its a disambiguation page . . . is that what you mean? (Arundhati Bakshi (talkcontribs)) 18:09, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
No sorry i ment this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oh_My_Goddess%21 specificly. Crampy20 18:13, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
You mean the info box? That was created with the Oh My Goddess Nav template, but you can create a table that will do the same thing (look at the source of my userpage to see how to make a table). Is that what you mean or is it printing foregin characters? (Arundhati Bakshi (talkcontribs)) 18:16, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Sorry I am trying to type too quickly... my request is how do I retrive the wiki format code for that box, i know how to call it to a page if i want to through the Oh My Goddess Nav call. But what i want is to get the code and simply change the names for a differnet programme (Tenchi Muyo) and then assign that to a similar call and then add it to the bottom of every relevent page... All i require is basicly how to do the whole thing !!!sos
To get the format code for the box, add the "subst" in front of the template, like this: and save it on your page. Then when you go to edit it again you will have the code placed there instead of the template. Look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Crampy20/sandbox - does this help any? (Arundhati Bakshi (talkcontribs)) 18:24, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Okay so what would i type to get specificaly that box??? and hopefully just that box?
the wiki code for the box looks like this: {| style="margin: auto; text-align: center; clear; both" class="toccolours" |- ! Tenchi Muyo! series |- | style="font-size: 90%;" | TV Series: Tenchi Muyo! OAV | Tenchi Universe | Tenchi in Tokyo | Tenchi Muyo! GXP | Pretty Sammy Characters: Tenchi Masaki | Ryoko | Ayeka | Sasami | Washu | Ryo-Ohki | Mihoshi | Kiyone |} (Arundhati Bakshi (talkcontribs)) 18:36, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Sorry that it has taken me time to thank you i had internet problems! THANKS!!!
It was my pleasure! Take care. (Arundhati Bakshi (talkcontribs)) 19:40, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] You Rang??

How may I help you? (Arundhati Bakshi (talkcontribs)) 19:56, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

I have been blocked from editing. According to the info page it has been for vandalism. Furthermore if one examines my ip page 194.154.22.52. you will notice several edits that i can definatly assert that i didnt do. I am behind a proxy, is this what could be causing the problem (sorry about not doing the proper formatting, it wont let me...)
Yes, if you are behind a proxy and someone else is using your proxy server as well, then you could all be blocked for vandalism. remember to always log into your account and then there will be no question of anonymous vandalism since your passphrase is needed. I can ask an admin to scan the IP address for you to see if it is a proxy or not and see what they have to say about it. (Arundhati Bakshi (talkcontribs)) 20:11, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
Please, can you. I allways log in an as far as i know, have not committed any vandelism. Surely if i log in, as i am now, i shouldnt be blocked?
No, you shouldn;t be blocked but if you are let me know. Have a gander at the following page: WP:OP -- it tells you how to report a problem with regards to proxies. I am sure you haven't done any vandalism, but just log in each time so we will be able to see your contributions each time instead of an anonymous IP address. And don't take it personally, OK? We have vandals galore here and sometimes there does need to be action taken against them, but that doesn;t mean that good-willed, active contributors should be blocked. (Arundhati Bakshi (talkcontribs)) 20:20, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
Okay thank you, i have rooted around and it appears that some of the losers at my place have been editing pages to reflect their opinions of others within the company for instance they went to the whore page and added a list of people who they consider to be this. And... it appears that this has reflected on me. Also i have never edited annonymously, but that is not important. I shall make a point on Wikipedia:Esperanza and i have emailed the amdim who blocked me, so hopefully i shall get a reply! Thanks again!
Ok, no problem. If you are editing from a company, they often use proxies so it is hard to tell who exactly is causing mischief since to the admins here it all looks like they come from the same IP address. Thus the need to log in and report proxies. If you do notice vandalism, by the way, just revert it, I police vandals a lot here too, they are a pain, but that all comes with the territory. Cheers! [edit] Tenchi Muyo!

Yo I just created a page for the OVA series and I have to say I am not completly impressed with the changes you made for Tenchi Muyo!. To help reduce the amount of pages needed I was thinking now that I have completed the page we can talk about what to do with many of your new character pages and also with restoring character information that was lost. My plan is to ultimately created new profiles for characters in the three Tenchi Muyo series but also in the GXP and Pretty Sammy pages. --Adv193

Yes i agree, the changes are not perfect but it is imperative that there are character pages. It is definatly not a solution. I did accidentaly miss out some of the manga charcters and if you want i can retrieve that information and place them on pages. I hope you are "cool" with the character box by the way. Please do not delete any of the character pages, while it is imperative that there is information on the TM! page about characters, the amount of imformation that there was there to wade through was stupid. Hence moving the pages and giving an easy to use interface to learn only about the characters that you want to learn about. On each character page there should be sections for all the differnt series but bear in mind that all the text that is on those pages was from the TM! page originaly. Like i said in my talk message, even i am not impressed with my own changes, but with the lack of effort to improve that frankly crap page what can one do? Crampy20 10:24, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
 • Anyway I have done a lot of work and I also helped with your new template by readding the series and Noike to their proper sections. I also have been coming up with new ideas for improvements and I figure a good way is to create a list of Characters for Tenchi Muyo!, but have it focus on the other characters and not the ones that have seprete pages (It's a good chance to readd the manga characters and added simple descriptions to the other minor characters of Tenchi Muyo!). Also for each series pages I was thinking of listing the Voice actor list and also as part of my hard work I have developed the Tenchi Muyo! OVA! series page (Including add episode Title info with the help of my OVA 3 Volume #1 DVD from Funimation to help with the OVA 3 titles) and have redeveloped the Nobuyuki Masaki, Noike Jurai, and Minami Kuramitsu pages with more in-depth, as well as minor changes to Kagato and even used my dvds to help with them as well. --Adv193. PS. After reading your last note it completly goes with all the extra effort I have been putting in these last few days.
Yes, thank you for the help. I am planning my next big run of pushing relevent information to the right places and reformating the Tenchi muyo page completly so not only does it look nice but it shall also read well. (i am currently not worrying about text errors only big important errors). I will add more pictures and dvd covers soon and shall create a set of pages, each one for one episode of the OVA series, and write a short description and give a little picture. I am not a writer particularly but someone who sees what needs to be done it terms of the whole picture with this... Crampy20 14:15, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
 • Just so you know that before I joined Wikipedia, on one of my IP addresses, I personally created and wrote the original draft for the English Adaptions Distributor History section for the sole purpose of helping newcomers and vetran fans understand that the English releases of the anime had two different distributors. Just try to keep this in mind when you work on reworking the main Tenchi Muyo! page. --Adv193.
 • What? Why does that matter? I am not planning on deleting any info. Moving it yes, reformating the page yes, deleting things no. So i am sorry if i am being rude, but what was the point of telling me that? Crampy20 16:13, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
 • Just to let you know why it was created. I am sorry if I sounded rude. --Adv193

[edit] Welcome to Esperanza!

Welcome, Crampy20/archive1, to Esperanza, the Wikipedia member association! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member, you might be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is the StressUnit, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Possibles.

I encourage you to take an active voice in the running of Esperanza. We have a small government system, headed by our Administrator general, Celestianpower, and guided by the Advisory Committee , KnowledgeOfSelf, JoanneB, Titoxd and FireFox. The elections have ended.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact me via email or talk page. Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to be!

Thanks! - Image:Ottawa flag.png nathanrdotcom (TCW) 22:20, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Next step in Tenchi Muyo!

I have created a new topic on the talk page of Tenchi Muyo! feel free to add your comments so we can talk about what to do about development. --Adv193

[edit] Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #1

Reach out is a program aimed at allowing users to bring issues that they have had in Wikipedia to a listening, sympathetic and caring audience:
"No one can know how we feel if we do not say. We cannot expect to get understanding if we do not ask for it. No one will dispute that sometimes life's issues are too much for one person. It is fair to say that sometimes Wikipedia's problems fall under the same heading. This is a place where you can bring the bruises that can sometimes be got on this project for attention."
The Stress alerts program aims at identifying users who are stressed, alerting the community of thier stress and works in tandem with the Stressbusters at trying to identify causes of stress and eliminating them.
Note from the editor
Welcome to this new format of the Esperanza Newsletter, which came about during the last Advisory Council meeting - we hope you like it! The major changes are that each month, right after the Council meeting, this will be sent out and will include two featured programs and a sum up of the meeting. Also, it will be signed by all of the Advisory Council members, not just Celestianpower. Have an Esperanzial end of March, everyone!
 1. Future meetings are to be held monthly, not fortnightly as before.
 2. Bans and Access level changes (apart from autovoice) in the IRC channel are to be reported at the new log.
 3. In the IRC channel, there is going to be only one bot at a time.
 4. The charter requires members to have 150 edits and 2 weeks editing. Why this is the case will be clarified.
 5. A new Code of Conduct will be drafted by JoanneB and proposed to the Esperanza community.
 6. The NPA reform idea is to be dropped officially.
 7. Charter ammendments are to be discussed in future, not voted on.
 8. The Advisory Council is not going to be proposed to be expanded by the Advisory Council themselves, if others want to propose it, they will listen.
Signed...

[edit] Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #2

The Barnstar Brigade is a new program aimed at giving more very deserving yet unappreciated users barnstars. It will officially start on 2006-04-09, but signing up is encouraged before this date:
"Here in Wikipedia, there are hundreds of wikipedians whose work and efforts go un-appreciated. One occasionally comes across editors who have thousands of good edits, but because they may not get around as much as others, their contributions and hard work often go un-noticed. Sadly, these editors often leave the project. As Esperanzians, we can help to make people feel appreciated, be it by some kind words or the awarding of a Barnstar. A project the size of Wikipedia has thousands of editors, so there are plenty of people out there who deserve recognition, one just has to find them. The object of this program is not to flood editors with Barnstars, but to seek out people who deserve them, and make them feel appreciated."
The Stress alerts program aims at identifying users who are stressed, alerting the community of thier stress and works in tandem with the Stressbusters at trying to identify causes of stress and eliminating them.
Information
Welcome to the second issue of the new format Esperanza Newsletter - we hope you still like it! This week, it was delivered diligently by our new dogsbody. MiszaBot (run by Misza13): any execution complaints should go to him. Content comments should be directed at the Esperanza talkpage. Thanks!
 1. The next elections: Approval voting as before and, also as before, an previous leadership member can run. Please submit your name for voting in the relevant section of this page. Voting starts on 2006-04-23 and ends on 2006-04-30. There will be three places up for grabs as KnowledgeOfSelf is leaving Wikipedia. Please see the previously linked page for full details.
 2. The Code of Conduct is now ready for extensive discussion! Specific comments should go to the Code of Conduct talk page, discussion of having one at all should be directed to the main Esperanza talk page.
 3. The current process for accepting proposals for new programs has been deemed fine. All Advisory Council members and the Admin Gen are to endevour to be bold when viewing discussion. If they feel that consensus has been reached, they will act accordingly.
A plea from the editor...
The propsed programs page is terribly underused! Please leave any comments, good or bad, on the page, to help us determine the membership's thoughts on the ideas there.

[edit] Sasami: Mahou Shoujo Club on Tenchi Muyo template

I beg to disagree with you removing Sasami: Mahou Shoujo Club from the Tenchi Muyo template, but I've been to the official website of Tenchi Muyo!, and it does advertise the new Sasami series. So don't remove the new series from the template. - 上村七美 09:55, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Old Skool Esperanzial note

Since this isn't the result of an AC meeting, I have decided to go Old Skool. This note is to remind you that the elections are taking place now and will end at 23:50 UTC on 2006-04-29. Please vote here. Thanks. --Celestianpower háblame 20:42, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #3

The Administrator Coaching program is a program aimed at preparing Wikipedians for Adminship or helping them understand the intricacies of Wikipedia better. Recently, changes have been made to the requirements of coachees. Please review them before requesting this service.
This would be something like the Welcoming Committee, but for people who have figured out the basics of editing articles; they're not newcomers any more, but they might want some help in learning new roles. Some might like suggestions about how to learn vandal patrol, or mentoring on taking an article to featured status, or guidance with a proposal they plan to make at the Village Pump, for example. In this way, Esperanza would help keep hope alive for Wikipedia because we would always be grooming the next generation of admins.
Stressbusters
The Stressbusters are a subset of Esperanza aiming to investigate the causes of stress. New eyes on the situation are always welcome!
Note from the editor
As always, MiszaBot handled this delivery. Thank you! Also, congratulations go to Pschemp, Titoxd and Freakofnurture for being elected in the last elections! An Esperanzial May to all of the readership!
 1. Posting logs of the Esperanza IRC channel are explicitly banned anywhere. Violation of this rule results in deletion and a ban from the channel.
 2. A disclaimer is going to be added to the Esperanza main page. We are humans and, as such, are imperfect.
 3. Various revisions have been made to the Code of Conduct. Please see them, as the proposal is ready to be ratified by the community and enacted. All members will members to have to re-confirm their membership after accepting the Code of Conduct.
 4. Referendums are to be held on whether terms of AC members should be lengthened and whether we should abolish votes full stop.
 5. Admin Coaching reform is agreed upon.

[edit] A short Esperanzial update

As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.

As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.

Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Alv and Dvergr under Chevalier D'Autriche's control.jpg)

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Alv and Dvergr under Chevalier D'Autriche's control.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Genidealingwithfairuse 21:43, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

AGGGGGGGG, it isnt in any articles, because it was just deleted because i copied copyrighted info without realising (from another wikipedia page). It WOULD be being used if the other article wasn't deleted.--Crampy20 21:45, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
It'se ok you've got few days to fix it (and the other fair use images) but there were rather a lot of fair use images in that article you might want to try and reduce that.Geni 21:54, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
fair use is a rather complex area of US copywrite law. In this case it means that while a screenshot is probably OK the number shout be very limited (say 1).Geni 22:00, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Alv (KG).jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. [edit] Clarine Harp

Please don't recreate this article unless you can add some context to expand it beyond four words. Also, biographical articles should take particular care to ensure that they meet the inclusion requirements. Stifle (talk) 15:11, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Melissa Elise

Please see WP:V and WP:NN. There are reasons why non-notable people are not welcomed subjects on this encyclopedia. If the subject is not notable enough to ensure reliable sources of information about that subject, then it doesn't belong in WP. Frankly, don't expect articles on non-notable people to expand naturally if not enough people out there have any information on the subject. I suggest you stop getting frustrated and understand these policies and why they came about. Also, if you want to be given the benefit of the doubt on questionable articles, I suggest you start authoring articles that comply with the Manual of Style, at least that way people can assume you're familiar with WP's policies. hateless 18:48, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

 • Sorry for any problems regarding my revert on Melissa Elise. I saw the entry on the AfD page but noticed that the article was missing its AfD tag, but did not catch on that the original author was requesting deletion. The article has since been deleted anyway. --66.28.20.178 21:47, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Clarine Harp

I am sorry to be rash, but maybe if you left the article there I would have time to place some more content on it. I was typing up content twice and before I could post it, the article wasn't there. I didn't realise it was being deleted, though I suppose it was obvious. --Crampy20 18:01, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

I would recommend waiting until you have typed the full article before posting it. If you wish to see how a section looks, use the Show preview button. This will make sure that articles aren't needlessly speedily deleted.
If you need access to this or any other deleted text, please let me know, and provided it isn't defamatory or a copyright violation, I will make it available to you. Stifle (talk) 22:00, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kiddy Grade

I understand you are doing your administrative job. But what is your problem with me writing detailed descriptions of Kiddy Grade characters? I do not want this to personal. --Crampy20 22:40, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

I am not doing an administrative job by listing articles for deletion. This is me acting as a regular editor. I feel that many Kiddy Grade characters do not exhibit notability, and that the articles do not have citations from reliable sources to make them verifiable. They may also be fancruft. You can share your opinion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kiddy Grade characters. Stifle (talk) 22:52, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
I have already supplied an opinion. Policy dictates that notability is not a reason for deletion, instead refer to AFD for a decision. I have also pointed out that in fact Kiddy Grade is more popular than the biggest anime around today (Ah my goddess) via the typical AFD GHits measure. I feel that acting as a regular editor does not include trying to get articles deleted. That is just disgustingly rude. Deleting peoples work is spiteful.
I have also noted this 'fancruft' rubbish, but as you are clearly in-adept at anime, i find your opinion null. --Crampy20 22:58, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

Point taken, but can you actually concentrate on the matter at hand not breaking policy. You are in fact the first person I have been rude to, and even then... --Crampy20 23:09, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
I do not believe I have broken any policy. I did not delete any articles, merely referred them to the community for the consideration of deletion. Stifle (talk) 23:11, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
Opps sorry, my wording was off, i ment concentrating on kiddy grade not me breaking policy. I take THAT back with a lot of gusto --Crampy20 23:12, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New Eclair and Lumiere (Kiddy Grade) article.

Is this fancruft, I recently typed it up, I know it isn't perfect. But i want to get away from fancruft, and can't continue without knowing if this is considered fancruft. --Crampy20 18:57, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

In my opinion this is much better. I am not, however, sure that the characters are notable enough to merit their own articles. This is a separate issue from fancruft. Stifle (talk) 19:00, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
WP:N is explicitly not policy, wether or not it falls in check with that article is a null point. If you are concerned about Notability i suggest looking at Category:Pokemon and admiring the girth of articles for the pokemon past-its-time, anime series. --Crampy20 19:11, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Just because something is not policy does not mean it is not right or not used. Pokémon has many times the fanbase of Kiddy Grade and is nowhere near as dead as you may believe. Stifle (talk) 21:51, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Policy dictates that reverts are only necessary if they are really necessary. Reverting the edit of the AfD Kiddy Grade discussion was not necessary. --Crampy20 18:53, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

I gave a very good reason for the reverts. For starters, we do not C&P large sections of policies into AfD discussions, instead we use wikilinks. And second, the headings disrupted the formatting of the AfD logs and deletion sorting pages, including Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Japan and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2006 July 24 among others. --TheFarix (Talk) 19:02, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
It wasn't C&P'd so that makes your point invalid and also the policy. The AfD logs have nothing to do with it. --Crampy20 19:07, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Helpme response

Thank you, its just a quick question. Couldn't find it easily in policy. If there is a talk page of an article and you make a suggestion then someone rv's the talk page based on the fact that he/she disagrees with the content or finds it "sarcastic," is that allowable? The main question is can you point me to a page that has the policy clearly on it. --Crampy20 22:10, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

I couldn't find anything, Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines was the closest but it's not helpful. I think common sense applies, of course you should only remove someone's comment from a talk page if you are archiving or it is vandalism. You could ask at the Help desk to get more people to trawl through the guidelines/policies.--Commander Keane 22:23, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kiddy grade Peer review

First things first. The Ah! My Goddess page is almost defiantly the BEST anime/manga page on Wikipedia, and through a brief trawl of its history, you appear to be the person who made this so. I would be most grateful if you could read the Kiddy Grade article and its subsequent pages a take part in a peer review of the pages? I would be most thankful. The peer review page is here to provide feedback, and if you are not familiar with peer reviews, though as the AMG page was I doubt it, the guidelines are here.

Thank you!!!

--Crampy20 21:59, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your kind words. There actualy is a better anime page out there for Excel Saga. I'll work on a "peer review" as soon as possible. --Cat out 00:41, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re: Kiddy Grade

I notice that you have an interest in Kiddy Grade, from the article history. Unfortunatly, the entire article was copied from another site. I am currently wikifying the page to improve layout and ease of use, but all the text remains copied. If display enough interest to assist me in retyping up the bios of the characters it would be helpful. Thanks --Crampy20 21:44, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

A lot of the text of the page was copied by someone from my site (it was originally listed as a reference in the earliest history but ended up in links), but I don't mind. Shiroi Hane 21:32, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re: Kiddy Grade Move

Thank you very very much for your contribution to the Kiddy Grade article. I don't wish to scare from editing, but the articles are going through AfD, and may be up for deletion. While that is occurring, the pages have to stay as they are, the formatting can change, but we can't move them around. I am sorry for this, I agree with this change, just not yet. --Crampy20 11:28, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

FYI I have been editing the main Kiddy Grade article for over a year, almost as long as it has existed. I have not moved any articles, all I have done is create a proper list of episodes which was suggested in the Peer Review you yourself initiated and does not fall under the auspices of the KG characters AFD. Shiroi Hane 14:07, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Nothing in the AfD page, or the deletion policy, or the recent talk page for either of those pages says that you cannot update the articles. The idea that they must stay the same is false, if you don't want the page deleted then you should update it. So long as I list them on the afd page afterwards, I fail to see how it has any impact on the deletion process. And so long as the article history still exists, (which it did, at the Lumiere (Kiddy Grade) page) the GFDL was not broken either. --tjstrf 15:03, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kiddy Grade character AfD

Hey -- I've just closed the AfD. The consensus and outcome of the discussion was to merge all the characters except for Eclair and Lumiere (Kiddy Grade) to the List of Kiddy Grade characters page. Since you're so heavily involved here, would you be willing to do the merges? I figure, if I did them, you'd just end up cleaning up after me anyway. Mangojuicetalk 16:14, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Ok, never mind, I see you haven't been active in a couple of days. I'm going to do my best; the old versions are still in the history of the redirect pages, so you can fix up my mistakes. Mangojuicetalk 01:08, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] August Esperanza Newsletter

Program Feature: To-Do List
The Esperanza To-Do List is a place where you may list any request, big or small, for assistance. If you need help with archiving your usertalk, for example, all you need to do is list it here and somebody will help you out. Likewise, if you need help with some area of editing on Wikipedia, list it here! Again, any matter, trivial or not, can be placed on this page. However, all matters listed on this page must not be of an argumentative nature. You do not need to be a member of Esperanza (or this program) to place or fulfill requests on this page. If you don't have any requests, consider coming by and fulfilling a few! This program has not been very active, but has lots of potential!
What's New?
In order to help proposed programs become specific enough to make into full-fledged programs, the In development section of the proposals page has been created. Proposals that are promising, but need to be organized in more detail are listed here. Please take a look at what is there, and help the proposals turn into programs.
To improve both the layout and text of the front page, in an attempt to clarify the image of Esperanza, the front page is going to have some redesigning take place. Please take your creative minds to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Front page redesign to brainstorm good ideas.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
 1. In order to make sure all users who join Esperanza are welcomed, a list of volunteers who are willing to welcome new Esperanzians is at Wikipedia:Esperanza/Members#Esperanza_welcomers. Please add yourself if you are interested; we want to make sure all new Esperanza members are welcomed!
 2. The In development section of the proposals page has been created.
 3. Proposals page: Some proposals have been moved to the aforementioned "In development" section, some have been left as a proposal, and others have been archived. For those proposals that were a good idea but didn't necessarily constitute a program, General Esperanzial Actions has been created.
 4. Two small pieces of charter reform will be decided on in a straw poll at Wikipedia talk:Esperanza/Governance. One involves filling the position of any councillors who may leave, the other involves reforming the charter.
 5. Until cooperation with the Kindness Campaign is better defined, it remains as a proposed program.
 6. There is a page for discussing the front page redesign.

Although having the newsletter appear on everyone's userpage is desired, this may not be ideal for everyone. If, in the future, you wish to receive a link to the newsletter, rather than the newsletter itself, you may add yourself to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Newsletter/Opt Out List.

[edit] September Esperanza Newsletter

Program Feature: Barnstar Brigade
Here in Wikipedia there are hundreds of wikipedians whose work and efforts go unappreciated. One occasionally comes across editors who have thousands of good edits, but because they may not get around as much as others, their contributions and hard work often go unnoticed. As Esperanzians we can help to make people feel appreciated, be it by some kind words or the awarding of a Barnstar. This is where the Barnstar Brigade comes in. The object of this program is to seek out the people which deserve a Barnstar, and help them feel appreciated. With your help, we can recognize more dedicated editors!
What's New?
September elections are upon us! Anyone wishing to be a part of the Advisory Council may list themselves as a candidate from 18 September until 24 September, with the voting taking place from 25 September to 30 September. Those who wish to help with the election staff should also list themselves!
Appreciation Week, a program currently in development, now has its own subpage! Share your good ideas on how to make it awesome there!
The Esperanza front page has been redesigned! Many thanks to all who worked hard on it.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
 1. The proposals page has been updated, with some proposals being archived.
 2. Since the program in development Appretiaion week is getting lots of good ideas, it now has its own subpage.
 3. The September 2006 Council elections will open for nominations on 18 September 2006. The voting will run from 25 September 2006 until 30 September 2006. If you wish to be a candidate or a member of the elections staff, please list yourself!
 4. The new Esperanza front page design has but put up - many thanks to all who worked on it!
 5. TangoTango has written a script for a bot that will list new members of Esperanza, which will help those who welcome new Esperanzains greatly!

In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:14, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Mihoshi.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:Mihoshi.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:48, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
