I AM A WRESTLER I GO ON CRASH DIETS JUST NOT THAT MUCH
- Above makes a good point, oddly enough. It may deserve to be noted that athletes in weight classes may have to go on crash diets to make their required weight. So there is an arguably reasonable reason for crash dieting, not simply for one's own desired appearance. --Shky 01:06, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
This needs to be flushed out more, also some sources would be nice. Is there a definition of a crash diet? People go on doctor recommended 600 calorie diets with no ill effect. 600 calories is 400 more than the "crash diet" mentioned in this article. Medifast comes to mind as an example of a safe super-low-calorie diet.
