The items I included in the section were not opinion...and the same train of thought(so to speak) has been used COUNTLESS number of times on other Wikipedia pages devoted to other singles (read Hollaback Girl, Cool, What You Waiting For?, Rich Girl as examples...you need to do more research if you think what I presented is "opinion" Vikramsidhu 03:42, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

The Crash disambiguation page currently lists three songs of this title, under Crash (song), Crash (The Primitives song), and Crash (Feeder single). I think these pages should be renamed to something consistent (song rather than single, probably), with Crash (song) being another disambiguation page. --Madbehemoth 17:37, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

I just noticed this today. Why does this article have to be different than the rest. By the way, this single performed pretty badly in the US and UK, whereas another song, Crash (The Primitives song) reached the top ten in the UK - this song was less successful. Hi, just a few small things that might be worth addressing on the road to GA:

  • This song didn't chart well, but it might be nice to have a chart positions table anyway.
  • The debut on MuchMusic is not supported by a reference.
  • I don't think reference 9 supports the statement it's referencing. This entry says, ""Crash" had never been planned as a major single-release from Love. Angel. Music. Baby., but it was promoted after Stefani announced that she was pregnant and would be delaying her second solo album". But the reference supporting it says nothing about "Crash" itself - it merely states that "Luxurious" was to be the final single from LAMB. This reference only supports the first half of that sentence. There should be a citation for the statement that the sixth single was released due to her pregnancy and/or album delays.

I originally removed the table since there are only six positions (and they're all included in the text), but if you think it's better with the table, then that's fine with me, so I've readded it. I checked MuchMusic's site, and it doesn't have "Crash" as ever having appeared, so I've removed that sentence. (I also check the TRL Archive, but it never debuted there either, probably since it's only a live video.) Since the video section is so short, I've also merged that with "Chart performance" for a section called "Release and chart performance". I added references for the information about releasing it as the sixth single, and I rephrased it so it now gives a brief narrative about how it was released rather than implying a causation. This song is only INFLUENCED by old school hip-hop, that does not make it hip-hop. Just like what you waiting for is influenced by New wave music, we dont call it a New wave song.

So it's disputed if this should be called a pop rap song and whether Category:Hip hop songs should be added. Entertainment Weekly calls Gwen "an old-school, gold-chained rapper", The Washington Post compares it to Push It, and NME calls it "cartoon rap". Spellcast (talk) 15:11, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
