If the main article remains a stub for the next couple days, I think it would be better to redirect this page to Crandon, Wisconsin. Chris! _ct 01:53, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

In all good faith of WP Policy, I advise not to move the specific details of this incident into the Crandon, Wisconsin page. While a summary of the events is allowed, dedicating an entire section of a page of a U.S. city to one particular incident is not. Nowhere is this a precedent since history continues to unfold and that because CNN was not around from 1870-1950, we do not know what other even more relevant and devastating events have occurred. I would assume Crandon has probably suffered many casualties in its logging history as any other timber industry region in the United States. One freak accident in the 21st century does not outweigh the preceding facts and an Encyclopedia should not slant any one topic because modern media has fed it to us. Millions die from diseases around the world daily, they not CNN news everyday, do not miscontrue the perspective of this incident. .:DavuMaya:. 16:29, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

He shot at officers after leaving the party, no? That said, he didn't kill or injure any so per shooting spree you are probably correct that it doesn't classify as a spree shooting. - Ageekgal 17:25, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

There is a rule on Wikipedia that dead people should not become Wikipedia stars simply because they got dead. Consider the discussion on I-35W Mississippi River bridge, where the names of the 13 dead are left ummentioned. "Wikipedia stars"? That's a new one. I'm not sure I agree with you or that there is full consensus for this. There's a list of the victims of the Virginia Tech massacre, for example.--h i s ^{s p a c e} _{r e s e a r c h} 20:19, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
