Thank you to whomever updated this with his passing. I was trying to figure out how to do it. Very sad news.

[edit] Craig's Death: Verification

As an old acquaintance of Craig's, I find this news very sad indeed. In fact, I am in denial, as is the case when you know someone quite well for many years and hear out of the blue they are dead.

But this is the internet, and all sorts of "pranks" get played here. From a Wikipedia standpoint, there should be a attributed source for this fact. Is there a news article about what happened? If this cannot be substatiated, it should be removed from the article. Indeed, maybe it should be removed to this Talk page until there is verification.

If this is true, and not some sick joke by a prankster, then I am deeply sorry for all those who were close to Craig. He brought much laughter and creative inspiration into my life during the years we were in daily contact.

Be in peace.

Is this good enough? --87.243.193.13 16:55, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Sadly, yes. I have ammended the article to include this source and added to the list of external resources as the memorial link requires membership to view. Be at peace Craig. --Paul Adams 17:34, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Are there any other sources, other than Outpost Gallifrey, to verify that Craig Hinton has died? I've searched a wide variety of sites and couldn't find any other details. Even the BBC doesn't list an obituary for him. Roaming27 00:50, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

The announcement was made on the OG forums by a close friend, and the funeral was last week: it'd be nice to think it was a hoax or a mistake, but sadly it isn't. If any other sources report Craig's passing, I'll post a reference - I believe it'll be mentioned in the news section of the next Doctor Who Magazine, but it might be hard to find another online reference as obviously this is news that predominantly concerns Dr Who fandom, and online that will mostly take its references from the OG site. Thanks Sheriff. I'm a Dr Who fan, I just would've thought that the BBC would've made an announcement. I found interviews and books of Craig's at the BBC, but nothing about his death. Roaming27 06:16, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

A bit of a shock, I was at Uni with Craig, he was a youngster to me... Rich Farmbrough, 21:03 14 February 2007 (GMT).

[edit] Warning - spurious copyvio

Anyone using the link to the announcement of his death may be misled into thinking that part of this article is a copyvio. In fact it seems to be the other way round, looking at the dates - unless both were copied from the same third source, which I haven't had time to check. Jon Rob 15:25, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
