[edit] Whether or not this image violates first fair use criterion
- This image was taken from the official website prior to the website being redesigned. Since other promotional images of the band are hard to come by the image should stay. - SPKx 17:49, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- If it would be possible to create a replacement image, then our first fair use criterion says we can't use the non-free image. One could take a photo of the band, right? – Quadell (talk) (random) 13:01, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, no. Today, the Crash Test Dummies is essentially Brad Roberts and studio musicians, with maybe Ellen Reid and Dan Roberts joining in. The entire band hasn't performed together in 5 years. - SPKx 16:52, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- A lot of things in this world could be possible that, in actual practice, aren't. The criterion needs to put a lot less on whether something is theoretically possible, and a lot more on how realistic the possibility is. Bearcat 09:43, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Replaceable Fair Use Debacle, The Sequel
- Once again, in this day and age Crash Test Dummies is just Brad Roberts and studio musicians. Also, it is unlikly that the band will ever tour again, so the image is not replaceable. - SPKx 04:03, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
