Crawler (The Descent)

The Crawlers are a Morlock-like human species in the film The Descent that have resorted to cannibalism.

Social hunting behaviors are seen in the film, and both a female and a juvenile crawler make an appearance, in a deviation from many films and novels featuring underground monsters. The clicking noises are suggestive of echolocation, similar to the mechanism used by bats to navigate in total darkness.
