Craspedochiton rubiginosus oliveri is a subspecies of chiton in the family Acanthochitonidae.

This subspecies is endemic to the North Island of New Zealand, between Kawau Island and Tiritiri Matangi Island.

This chiton is found at depths of about 35 m, on and inside old Atrina shells.

The shell is elongated with parallel sides, high-arched, and subcarinated down the middle. Sculpture of the median valves consists of rather small, rounded to ovate, flattened pustules over the lateral areas, longitudinally deeply incised irregular grooves over the jugum, and a series of from three to six larger pustules, on each side, projecting along the posterior margin.

Coloration is buff to pale yellowish-brown, the valves dull rose-pink internally.

Length is up to 25 mm, and width up to 12 mm.
