Cranopsis melanochlorus is one of several former names for Bufo melanochlorus, a species of toad in the Bufonidae family. It is endemic to Costa Rica. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montanes, and rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss.
