Cranbourne Business and Enterprise College is a large secondary school in Basingstoke, northern Hampshire, England. The school caters for those in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, between the ages of 11 and 16. The school follows the National Curriculum, and is a specialist Business and Enterprise College.

Cranbourne was founded in 1967 as a bilateral school on the site of a former nursery. It became a comprehensive in 1971[1] and then Cranbourne Business and Enterprise College in September 2005.[2] Cranbourne or CBEC is now one of two Business and Enterprise Colleges in the whole of Hampshire. It has generally achieved average ofstead reports in past years.

The school is separated into 8 blocks A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H and M. CBEC also has a small swimming pool. CBEC buildings include a 3-storey Science block (C block). All blocks are undergoing refurbishment, which was due to be completed in August 2007 but has been delayed and is now due to be completed well into 2008 or possibly further into the future. Builders are refurbishing the outer walls and windows of all blocks, at an estimated cost of £500,000.[3]

The school is now run by Mrs Betty Elkins. She became headteacher in Easter 2006. Her previous school was Cresford College. The previous headteacher was Ann Morrison.

Cranbourne has over 1000 students. It is located on the Wessex Close, off the Winchester Road, near the King of Wessex pub.

The school teaches Drama, English, French, Science, ICT, German, Spanish, RS, History, Geography, PSHE, PE, Maths and [[Technology]. The school also offers a range of different subjects for GCSE Drama, Media Studies, Art, Music, Business Studies and Business and Communication Systems, GCSE PE.
