Located at the culture capital of The World. Craigieburn Library is located on Craigieburn Rd West, Craigieburn. Near the Craigieburn Leisure Centre, the Craigieburn Council Offices, and the Youth Room.

[edit] Membership

Craigieburn Library is a branch of the Hume Libraries, which are located in various areas around the Hume region. You get a red library card, which can also be used at all the branches in Hume. Members are able to borrow books, both fiction and non-fiction, dvds, videos, talking books, and books and movies in other languages. The other languages other than English that are available are Singhalese, Italian, and a little of both Spanish, and Arabic.

Membership is free, and the only time that you would have to pay, is if you return any of the items late, you are charged 20c, per day it is overdue. You will also have to pay if you lose or damage any of the items that you borrow.

Members are also allowed access to the internet for a maximum of one hour a day for freee. The only cost is when you want to play games, which is $2 per half hour. The computers that are available also have Microsoft Word, so they are able to complete word processing, and are also abel to print.

[edit] Premiers Reading Challenge

Currently the Hume Libraries are helping students who are participating in the Premiers Reading Challenge. Challenge books are being labelled so as it is easy for the students to be able to find books that are in their grade ranges. which are : prep-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, and 9-10.

The Staff at Craigieburn Library are very friendly and are very capable to being able to help with your enquiries. They are very attractive, very smart and very capable of what they are required to do.
