Craig Wiseman (born Craig Michael Wiseman in Hattiesburg, Mississippi[1]) is a Grammy Award-winning American country music songwriter. Active since the late 1980s as a songwriter, he has had his songs recorded by Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, LeAnn Rimes, and several other acts.
His credits include the Number One singles "The Good Stuff" by Kenny Chesney and "Live Like You Were Dying" by Tim McGraw, which were declared by Billboard as the Number One country songs for the years of 2002 and 2004, respectively; "Live Like You Were Dying" also earned Wiseman the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Country Song.
At the 45th annual Country Music Awards, Wiseman won Songwriter of the Year. In addition, three of his compositions won awards for being among the most played songs of 2007: Rimes' "Something's Gotta Give", Chesney's "Summertime", and Brooks & Dunn's "Hillbilly Deluxe".[2]
