Craig Phillips (cartoonist)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Craig Phillips (born 1975) is a successful Australian comics artist, cartoonist and illustrator. He has created rock poster art for Queens of the Stone Age, The Hives, Foo Fighters and Turbonegro, with work appearing in the books The Art Of Modern Rock (published by Chronicle Books) and 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide (Leurzers Archive). In Australia he is best-known for his comic series Finch! (Little Hammer Studio).
Craig Phillips grew up in Wollongong, Australia. His younger brother, Chris Phillips, is also a successful designer and illustrator. Both Craig and Chris attended a conservative Catholic boys college, and their work exhibits elements of the fantastical and the playful. Neither their parents, or their other brother, Michael, have any artistic abilities, and it is a source of wonder to them that two talented artists flourished in such an inhospitable and improbable environment.
