Craig McEwan (born 13 April, 1982) is a Scottish boxer raised in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh. He began attending boxing classes at Clovenstone Amateur Boxing Club, aged seven, coached by his father Rab. Craig turned professional in 2006 and is currently fighting at middleweight. He is undefeated with a career record of 6 wins (5 by way of KO) 0 Losses 0 Draws and 0 No Contests.

[edit] Amateur career

Craig had his first competitive bout aged eleven. During his teenage years Craig developed into one of Scotland’s top amateur boxers. In his thirteen years as an amateur boxer he notched up three hundred and seventy-six fights, winning ten gold medals in international tournaments and was a regular captain of the Scottish International Team. On several occasions he has been crowned Scottish champion at both junior and senior level, as well as being European Junior Champion and Senior British & Irish Four Nations Champion. He has twice represented Scotland in the Commonwealth Games, winning a bronze medal in 2002. In 2005 Craig broke Scotland’s amateur boxing record by winning a hat trick of golds at international level.

Craig has had 4 professional contests with 4 wins (3 by way of KO). He is seen a hot prospect for the future and his talent and skills was enough to be signed up to Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy stable, he is only the 2nd British fighter to be signed up to Golden Boy.
