Craig Kieswetter (born November 28, 1987 in Johannesburg, South Africa) is a South Africa born wicket-keeper batsman. Having been schooled at Diocesan College (Bishops) in Cape Town (the same school that Herschelle Gibbs attended), he decided, however, that his future lay in England, where his roots come from a Scottish mother, and moved to England and the prestigous Millfield school.

In 2005-06 he played for the South Africa under-19s in the Under-19s World Cup in Sri Lanka and won a man of the match award in the game against USA for his innings of 80 off just 66 balls. In 2006 he was quickly drafted into the Somerset second team, where, yet again, he impressed with 94* on his debut.

His one-day debut came for Somerset against Glamorgan early in April 2007 where he showed a cool head to blast 69* off 58 deliveries. He soon made his first-class debut for Somerset in May 2007 keeping wicket while Derbyshire made 801-8d and making a useful 63 in the Somerset reply.
