Craig Forth is a former college basketball player for the Syracuse Orange from East Greenbush, New York who was a member of Syracuse's 2003 NCAA National Championship team. Known for his academic ability[1] as well as his solid play inside and court vision, Forth nevertheless felt the wrath of Syracuse fans at times.[2]

Forth was a fixture in the Syracuse lineup, starting all 136 games of his collegiate career, ending with career averages of 4.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Forth finished seventh in career blocks at Syracuse with 205.[3]

Following graduation, Forth played overseas in the 2006 Croatian Cup semifinals with Cedevita Zagreb and also for Svit (Slovakia).[4] Forth played for the Albany Patroons of the United States Basketball League in the 2007 season.[5] Currently, he is coaching junior varsity girls basketball for his hometown Columbia High School in East Greenbush and is contemplating retiring from professional basketball.[6]

  • Forth averaged 19.2 points, 14.5 rebounds and 5.0 blocks as a senior
  • Forth earned Suburban Council MVP honors twice and was a league all-star four times
  • He was a teammate of Billy Edelin’s on the U.S. National 18-and-under squad that competed at the world championship in France
