Cracklin' Oat Bran
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cracklin' Oat Bran is a breakfast cereal introduced in 1977[1] by Kellogg's. The cereal is made of oat bran flavored with cinnamon and nutmeg, and held together by brown sugar in the form of a Squared O. The cereal is a good source of dietary fiber, as its first two ingredients are whole oats and wheat bran, but it contains a significant amount of saturated fat due to the use of palm oil.
One serving of Cracklin' Oat Bran contains 7 grams of dietary fiber, 4.4 grams of protein, 3.4 grams of saturated fat, 0.1 grams of trans fat, and 221 calories.
The palm oil contained in the cereal gives a unique flavor.
