[edit] Only Wanna Be with You

[edit] Drowning

"Drowning" deals with racism in America and makes references to an ongoing controversy in Hootie & the Blowfish's home state of South Carolina.

Why is there a rebel flag hanging from the state house walls?

A later verse of the song makes reference to the Nanci Griffith song "It's a Hard Life Wherever You Go":

Nanci singing it's a hard life wherever you go
About some fat racist living in Chicago
Trying to teach his kids to hate everyone
Well tell me why is that something you wanna teach your son?
