CQ can mean:

  • A copyediting notation, to signify that an unusual-looking spelling or word usage has been double-checked, based originally on the Latin phrase cadit quaestio
  • casu quo, Latin for "in this case"
  • Central Queensland, an area in Australia
  • National Order of Quebec, or the Chevalier de l'Ordre national du Québec ("Knight of the National Order of Quebec"), Canadian decoration post-nominal letters)
  • Congressional Quarterly, a publication that summarizes the legislative activities of the United States Congress
  • "Carrier Qualification", referring to the requirement for Navy and Marine pilots to land their plane on an aircraft carrier before winning their wings
