[edit] Current state of this article

It is a mess. It needs to be cleaned up, referenced, and wikified. It needs pictures. Less talk about what people know, more about what they can cite. I'm doing what I can to fix some of it's problems, but anyone that can, please help.

• If you have pictures, put a couple in here. I'm working on getting one of the tour bus.
• There are a lot of redundancies in here. The list of current and former members has been included in the info box, however, because there is a lot of extra information on the members, I've left the sections for that. It still needs to be cleaned up.
• Info from the first half of the article needs to be moved down into a History section, which needs to be created.
• There is a discography and also a list of albums. That needs to be trimmed to one or the other. I'm looking into creating a bottom of page template for the band. If I can get that done, that will take care of that.
• The article needs to be Wikified a bit more.
• Needs more information, but no POV writing or inclusion of information you may know but can't find a reference for.

An excellent list of things that truly are wrong with this article. I took a pic of Vance DeGeneres at the last CM show here in Nashville, but didn't think to get one of the bus. D'oh. I added the discography a while back (and uploaded copies of the album art). I didn't remove the album list cause my additions weren't complete. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I just was just what to do. --KickTheDonkey 20:30, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

I help out with the discography and album list. I've not done a bottom page template for a band yet, this will be my first. I'll work on that over the next couple days. It will allow for the removal of the album list.

As far as Flikr goes, the article states "Flickr offers users the ability to release their images under certain common usage licenses. The licensing options primarily include the Creative Commons attribution-based and minor content-control licenses - although jurisdiction-specific licenses cannot be selected. As with "tags", the site allows easy searching of only those images that fall under a specific license". So as long as it has the appropriate license, they're good for use. Just a quick comment on the references: AssociatedContent seems to be an open news platform without editorial oversight am I right? If that is the case, it's kind of a far stretch to use it as a source in the lead section. Best wishes, Johnnyw talk 14:03, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

I added the Tnavbar at the bottom. It should include a list of singles as well, however, I don't know all their singles and, surprisingly, google is failing me in my search. If anyone knows, please either add them to the Tnavbar or (if you don't know how) just list them here and I'll do it. Hmm, yeah, its really blown out... actually, they're going to be here in town next Saturday (am I excited? You bet your ass!). What photos should I try to take? Obviously, I'll try to get a decent one of the band on stage, but I can't guarantee that it won't be blown out (stage lighting is the same as good photography lighting). Phew, fantastic show. Part of a bigger concert event, though, so they played for only an hour. Still had a blast, though.
I was able to get a few fairly good pictures of the band performing, as well as full shots of Sonia and JTG. Fred took too long to get out, but I can crop one of the band shots I took (should work just fine until I get a full shot of him at the next concert I go to). The bus was nowhere in sight, so no pic of it. I'll hopefully be getting them up either here or on Commons at some point this week. EVula // talk // ☯ // 03:02, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

All articles now have images, and Cowboy Mouth has their own page and category on Commons; hopefully this will encourage others to take more pictures of them (I know I'll be bringing my camera with me to every show and will be sure to add any decent shots). I am taking care of getting all the pages from the Discography page, which is awfully long and can't have images, onto their own pages, as well as gnoming interesting facts about them and such. It's my goal, after every cd has its own album, to eliminate the separate discography, and instead link all the albums from this page (ie, there is no need for 'list of albums' *and* a discography page under those circumstances).

Saw them on Friday night in Boston at the Paradise; still sore from the dancing. Afterwards Fred kissed me, and I got a big ol' sweaty hug from him. I'll try not to let that bias my NPOV ;-) --Thespian 13:50, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
