Cowboy coding

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cowboy Coding is a term used to describe software development that doesn't follow any published programming methodology. The term can be used pejoratively by supporters of programming method frameworks, such as Agile. The methods used are up to the individual coder (and may even include elements found in programming methodologies), so they can only be compared for structure, speed, scope, quality, etc., on a case-by-case basis.
