Cow Creek (Kansas)

Cow Creek is a large stream in Rice County, Kansas. From Lyons, Kansas, it is four miles west and one mile south. The Santa Fe Trail went over Cow Creek. Buffalo Bill Mathewson ran a trading post (known as "Buffalo Bill's Well") here at this loccation during the 1850s.
