[edit] Adding history
Being a resident of the city, and being somewhat interested in it's history, would it be appropriate for me to make entries for information other than the statistical information offered on the page?
If so, how concise or extended should it be? I can also offer some information on neighboring citys, like Newport Kentucky etc.
I am also somewhat ignorant of the conventions on making entries. How do create links? and what else should I know before I leap in with my 2 cents worth? NORMAN
Simply create a history section right after the first paragraph by typing the heading == History ==. Then write about the history. Creat links by using double brackets like so; [[Davis, California]] which becomes Davis, California. More help is available at the Help link at the top of the page. BTW, information about nearby towns is really best for those entries and not this one (a list of nearby towns at the bottom would be great though; See Vancouver, Washington for a good example). Don't forget to have fun! --mav
Thank you, Maverick!! Nice to have something interesting to do on a cold winter evening. And I do understand about each town's remarks being under that particular town's entry. I wasn't too clear in my query I suppose. NORMAN
Yes Norman! Please do add history or other information for Covington. You might look at a couple of other cities that already have other sections and follow that form. Here are the standards. If you think it needs attention after you're done, you can mark it with a {{cleanup}} or {{wikify}} tag and it will show up on a list that editors review frequently. --Tysto 16:58, 2005 August 17 (UTC)
OK, so with this long of a history section for a city this small, it wouldn't be called BRIEF History. BRIEF History would mean a couple paragraphs at most. 131.191.64.130 01:19, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Skyline image request
I am requesting a skyline for the city of Covington, Kentucky. I understand they have a very nice skyline and has continued to be added on as of later. It would be appropriate that it can be taken from the Ohio side. Spongefan 20:24, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
