Covey Crump
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Commander A. Covey-Crump, Royal Navy (RN), a former Naval Assistant to the Chief of Naval Information, was responsible in the mid-1950s for compiling a record of naval slang, abbreviations, legends and historical tit-bits. The first edition appeared on 17 May 1955. The compilation, now continually updated, has led to the term Covey Crump itself entering into RN slang.
