Coverdale is a dale in the far west of the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire, England. It gets its name from the River Cover and the small settlement of Coverham, which is situated on its Northern edge. The dale is one of the most inaccessbile, with only one single-track road which runs between Great Whernside in the north, to Kettlewell further south.
