Covenant University

Covenant University is a private university in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria. It was founded in 2002 by the Winners' Chapel (Living Faith Church Worldwide), and the chancellor, David Oyedepo, is also the President and founding Bishop of the Winners' Chapel. It is a christain institution and it strictly governed by the principles of Christ. The vision of the Founding Bishop as reflected in the motto of the institution is "to raise a new generation of leaders". The educational philosophy of the intitution is to cause a revolution in the educational system of Nigeria,Africa and indeed the World. It is situated within the premises of Cannanland; the official Headquarters of the Living Faith Church, and it is know as Hebron-the Birth Place of Kings and Queens [1]

The university has three college housing over 20 departments. The colleges are the College of Business and Social Sciences, the College of Human Development, and the College of Science and Technology.The Vice -Chancellor is Professor Aize Obayan and the Chaplain is Pastor Seyi Macaulay[citation needed]

As of 2007, the university has about 7,000 students from different countries. Its graduates are called eagles and it has released two set of eagles since its inception. The next set would be released June 13th 2008.[citation needed]
