[edit] Random Chat

Larry, I know you're out there! Damn you for editing my user page!!!!! --TimD 05:09, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Tim, you need to add hipsters of things you like. I'm just saying. SonOfMan 20:41, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

My brother hijacked it when I let him use my computer and he vandalized a whole bunch of stuff. He's also done the same to our IP, so I sorta need a clean slate. SonOfMan 03:39, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

You have a brother? Weird. --TimD 23:18, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

True story. And he apparently likes to vandalize wiki pages. SonOfMan 02:31, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Shut Up, Tim!

You too. SonOfMan 04:47, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Request for edit summary

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. – Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 04:41, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Party of Italian Communists (Partito dei Comunisti Italiani, PdCI) poster.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:Party of Italian Communists (Partito dei Comunisti Italiani, PdCI) poster.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:42, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:05, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
