[edit] Merger proposal
I propose that this page be merged with Coupon (bond). Finnancier 12:40, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
I don't have a problem with the proposal, but I think that the original heading, Coupon (bond) is the article name that should be retained. If coupon rate is a term that's actually in use (as opposed to, for example, rate, interest rate, offering rate, rate to maturity, nominal interest rate, or similar terms, people searching an encyclopedia are certain to have the first word in their search. They are not certain to use the word rate as well. Since bonds essentially no longer have coupons (that is, they are only available registered, or sold at a discount like T-Bonds) today, the term is probably falling into disuse. Perhaps coupon rate should be deleted?
Here are a few major sale locations where the words coupon or rate are used alone:

- Agreed. Let's keep Coupon (bond) and delete Coupon rate. Finnancier 02:03, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
-I am no expert on Wikipedia, but I found this Coupon rate page useful, and had no need for the extra information on the whole Coupon (bond) page. 4:06, 6 November 2007
