[edit] East-West Odd?

Why is the east-west designation odd? US-101, CA-82, and I-280 are all from San Francisco to San Jose (at least). They run north-south for most of their routes, with only a short east-west route. However, Central, like, CA-237, is a trans-South Bay route running east-west its whole length. ςפקιДИτς 23:42, 26 September 2005 (UTC)
