[edit] Summary
A stock-standard softball/baseball "counter", also called a "clicker". Counters come in several varieties, the most common difference is whether the counter records three values (strikes, balls, outs) or four (as in the image: strikes, balls, outs, innings). A variant of the four-value counter displays each inning number twice, with the colour of the number being used to distinguish between the top or bottom of an inning.
Counters tend to be either plastic or stainless steel; the plastic variety comes in many colours.
