IMDb profile |
The Court of Current Issues (also known as Court of Public Opinion) was a TV series aired in the United States on the now-defunct DuMont Television Network.
It was a public-affairs and debate series broadcast live on Tuesday nights beginning 9 February 1948. It was initially a 30-minute program, but was extended to 60 minutes in 1949.
The series lasted three seasons, and was scheduled opposite Milton Berle's popular Texaco Star Theater on rival network NBC. Because of the competition, this series never received a wide following, and was quietly cancelled in the summer of 1951. The last broadcast was on 26 June 1951.
