County Route 666 is a county highway in Atlantic County, New Jersey. The highway extends 8.09 miles (13.02 km) from County Route 557 in Weymouth south to Route 49 in Estell Manor Township. The highway is one of the few county routes with the number 666 that actually is signed. Most counties have had their signs stolen or taken down at the request of religious citizens.[citation needed] An example is CR 666 in Burlington County, which is completely unsigned, despite every 600 route connecting to it and around it has having signs.[citation needed] Some counties even skip over this number entirely, or assign it to small and insignificant routes, as in Gloucester County, Middlesex County, Camden County, and Hudson County.
