County Route 626 (Middlesex County, New Jersey)

County Route 626 is a county highway located in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. It lies entirely within Old Bridge Township.

CR 689 begins at the Monmouth County border and extends north along Matawan Road and Laurence Parkway to NJ 35.

CR 626 was formerly numbered as CR 640. In the 1990s it was absorbed into CR 689, with that portion south of Cliffwood Avenue being numbered as CR 689 Spur.

A more recent renumbering created CR 626 out of the Matawan Road and Laurence Parkway portions of Cr 689. CR 689 Spur was absorbed into the new CR 626.
