County Route 56 is a county highway in Monmouth County, New Jersey. It lies entirely within the Borough of Keansburg.

CR 56 is Carr Avenue beginning at Church Street (County Route 7) and extending north to Beachway.

Carr Avenue was taken over as a county road on December 4, 1980 so as to provide a county road to the Keansburg beachfront.
