From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Volusia County Road 3 (former Volusia County Road 2825) is a 14.3-mile road that runs parallel to US 17 and the railroad tracks. This segment used to be part of US 17, when US 17 was first formed. Today, it is considered an alternative route of US 17. In Pierson, CR 3 is the location of the city hall of that city. CR 3 always stays west of U.S. 17. The northern terminus is at US 17 in Connersville, the southern terminus is at US 17 in DeLeon Springs. Near the southern end, it is an access route to De Leon Springs State Park. At the SR 40 intersection, it is home of the Old Braberville High School. Beween the northern and southern terminuses of CR 3, it is completely a two-lane road.
