Counts and Dukes of Linhares

The Count of Linhares (older) was a title created under the decree of king John III of Portugal on May 13, 1532, in favour of D. António de Noronha. The fifth and the sixth counts, respectively D. Fernando de Noronha and D. Miguel de Noronha, received their title by Philip III of Portugal the Dukes of Linhares. The title became extinct under the fault of the descendants of the last count
