Country IP database
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Country IP database provides allocated IP raw data from Regional Internet Registries. Country IP blocks are then used in firewalls, ad serving systems, routing, mail systems, web sites and other automated systems where IP to country mapping is useful.
The allocation and distribution of IP addresses is handled by five Regional Internet Registries for organizations located in their respective service regions:
- American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN)
- RIPE Network Coordination Centre (RIPE NCC)
- Asia-Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC)
- Latin American and Caribbean Internet Address Registry (LACNIC)
- African Network Information Centre (AfriNIC)
