The Counter Misinformation Team or Counter Mis-information Team, headed by Todd Leventhal, is part of the United States Department of State's International Information Programs Bureau.[1] The team responds to misinformation and disinformation about the United States government.

In an attempt to debunk 9/11 conspiracy theories, they released the "The Top September 11 Conspiracy Theories" report on Aug. 28, 2006. [2]
