The Council on Foundations is a membership organization of more than 2,000 grant-making foundations and giving programs worldwide. They provide leadership expertise, legal services and networking opportunities and other services to participating members and the general public.

The Council on Foundations Awards programs annually honor the contributions of the best in philanthropy, to enhance personal growth and accomplishment of its members, to provide role models, and strengthen the image of philanthropy.
