Council Rock High School North is a high school located in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It is a part of the Council Rock School District. The school is located across Swamp Rd. from Newtown Middle School (formerly Newtown Junior High) and Tyler State Park, and down Swamp Road from Bucks County Community College. The current student population is 2275 for grades 9-12.[1]

The school is three stories tall and is divided into an East wing and a West wing. From the building's construction in 1969 through the late 1980s, the school served grades 9 through 12, but as the local population increased the school was limited to grades 10, 11, and 12.

As the local population continued to grow the administration realized that new arrangements were needed. A new high school was built (Council Rock High School South) that opened in the fall of 2002. When construction of the new school was complete, middle schools were re-districted as follows: Newtown Middle School students attend go to Council Rock North, Holland Middle School students go to Council Rock South, and Richboro Middle School students are divided between the schools depending upon where they live.

The school colors are blue, white and silver, and the school teams are known as the Council Rock Indians.

The school and the school district are named for Council Rock (also known as Indian Rock), a rock outcropping that forms a cliff in Tyler State Park. This rock was once a council rock for Lenape Indians.[2]
