The Couldn't Stand the Weather tour is a concert tour by guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan. The tour started on February 4 of 1984 on a television appearance on Charlie Daniels Volunteer Jam and ended on December 31, 1984 at Astro Arena in Houston, TX. One of the highlights of this tour is the famous Carnegie Hall show.

  • Stevie originally envisioned the Carnegie Hall show as a full-length video, but the project was shelved due to their performance schedule, making it difficult to market the video.
  • Around this time, Stevie would let the soundmen play "Can't Tear It Up Enuff" by the Fabulous Thunderbirds over the P. A. system, before each show started.
