Cougar Mountain Software is a privately-held company based in Boise, Idaho that markets accounting software, retail software and business software to small to mid-sized companies. They are a Microsoft Certified Partner and work with other third-party companies such as Aatrix, Applianz, Business Objects, DonorPerfect, GiveX, and Seagull Scientific to provide customers with low-cost accounting software.

Founded by Bob Gossett back in 1982, the company celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2007. The company’s first accounting product was introduced as a DOS application, and is still being used by businesses today. The company's first Windows product, CMS Professional, was introduced in 2000. In 2006, Cougar Mountain Software introduced Denali, which is based on Microsoft SQL Server technology.
