[edit] Racism?

After reading the article on the St. Cecilia Society, I feel it is important to mention the extremely conservative, and in this case racist, nature of some societies. How representative are they? I really know nothing about all this, and feel that the article needs to clarify if these balls are often connected to such racist institutions, and if not, clarify the exceptions. It's one thing to operate on the basis on class snobbery, it's another to be outright racist. Can someone who knows more explain this in the article? Othewise if I tried to write it, I feel I might derail into a POV rant pretty quick. jugander (t) 15:02, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup

The external links need to be made into references, moved to the External links section, or removed per WP:EL and WP:SPAM. The list needs inclusion criteria per WP:LIST. Until we can come up with some other criteria, the entries should at least have their own Wiki article. --Ronz (talk) 16:10, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
