Coty, Inc. is a beauty products manufacturer whose core businesses are fragrances, color cosmetics, and skin care. It is known for its cooperation with designers and celebrities for the creation of fragrances; prominent among them are Celine Dion, Shania Twain, and Jennifer Lopez. [1].

Coty was founded in 1904 in Paris by François Coty. Following its acquisition of Unilever's fragrances division (UCI) in May 2005, it has become the world's largest manufacturer of mass-market fragrances.
The company is headquartered in New York City and is privately owned by JAB Investments, the German holding company that manages the interests of the family of Johann A. Benckiser. The company was a subsidiary of Pfizer from 1963 to 1992.
