Cottesloe is a Transperth train station 12.4km from Perth railway station in Western Australia on the Fremantle Line.
[edit] Station location
Cottesloe station is located in the eastern section of Cottesloe. The tracks lie between Curtin Avenue and Brixton Street, two important roads in the area. There are two access points from each of these roads; those on the southern end of the platform meet at a ramp down to the station whilst those on the northern end of the platform require crossing the tracks at grade level to reach the platform area.[1]
[edit] Platforms
Apart from B-pattern trains, all trains service Cottesloe station. Trains bound for Perth leave at 15 minute intervals at all times, taking 31 minutes to arrive at Perth for local trains during off-peak hours, but 17 minutes for trains during peak-hours.[2] Fremantle-bound trains follow a similar schedule and take seven minutes to arrive at Fremantle.[2] L-pattern trains do not stop at the next Perth-bound station: Swanbourne.[2] There was originally a third platform, and a siding that headed out towards the city end to an adjacent flour mill. The graded grass area still marks the site of the track. There was also a manned signal cabin at this station.
