Cotswold Chase

The Cotswold Chase is a Grade 2 National Hunt horse race in the United Kingdom for five-year-old and above horses. It is run over a distance of 3 miles 1½ furlongs (5,130 metres) on the New Course at Cheltenham Racecourse in January. There are twenty-one fences to be jumped in the race.
Although registered as the Cotswold Chase, the race has generally been run under a sponsored title. It was run as the Charterhouse Mercantile Chase from 1988 to 1991, the Timeform Hall of Fame Chase in 1993 and 1994, the Pillar Property Investments Chase from 1995 to 1998, the Pillar Property Chase from 1999 to 2005 and the HBLB Cotswold Chase in 2006. Since 2007 the race has been run as the Letheby and Christopher Chase.
