[edit] History
The school opened in 1884 as a Junior School as Coten End Board School [3] and some of the original buildings are still in use. In 1951 a fire destroyed six classrooms and the main hall. The site was expanded in 1971 to incorporate a separate Infant School. In 1996 the Infants and Juniors merged and renamed Coten End Primary School.
