[edit] Summary
Found at: http://wiki.phantis.com/index.php/Image:1969CostaGavrasZ.jpg. It is a famous poster of a famous movie, widely covered in the Greek and international press, based on the infamous real life politically motivated assassination of anti-fascist hero Gregoris Lambrakis. As such it is promotional material used in 1969 to promote and advertise the legendary movie Z of Costa-Gavras. It is of much lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality) Its use is significant because it shows a historic movie of great cultural and political impact. The photo is only being used for informational purposes. Dr.K. 23:17, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

---|---|
Description |
This image is being used to illustrate the article of the film Z and is used for informational or educational purposes only. |

Derived from a scan of the poster (creator of this digital version is irrelevant as the copyright in all equivalent images is still held by the same party). Copyright held by the film company or the artist. Claimed as fair use regardless. |
Article | |
Portion used |
Entire Poster |
Low resolution? |
Is low and only as much resolution as necessary to identify and show the style of artwork used for the article, not enough to be used for piracy. |
Purpose of use |
Illustrates the article Z which provides enough critical commentary for fair use to be applicable. |
Replaceable? |
No free equivalent can equal this image (any would be a derivative of this artwork) |
Other information | Image in this form is already widely distributed to identify the poster as part of movie catalogs and film reviews, so we degrade no market value by providing it ourselves. |
