The Costa Verde (Green Coast) is a coastline of outstanding natural beauty in Brazil (chiefly in Rio de Janeiro state), which runs from Buzios to Paraty. Other points of interest include Ilha Grande and Angra dos Reis. It is known as Brazil's Riviera.
Its name derives from its characteristic abundance of green, in the form of the threatened native subtropical atlantic forest, also known as "Mata Atlantica".
